Job Overview – Supervisor Airport Services (Baggage)
The role of Supervisor Airport Services (Baggage) is central to maintaining seamless airport operations and ensuring passengers experience smooth baggage handling. The successful candidate will lead teams, ensure compliance with service standards, and coordinate baggage operations in line with Emirates’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise baggage handling operations to ensure on-time delivery and service quality.
- Manage manpower and allocate resources effectively during busy flight schedules.
- Guide, motivate, and evaluate team members to achieve operational goals.
- Oversee baggage arrivals, lost baggage processing, and passenger inquiries at the PIR counter.
- Ensure unclaimed baggage is properly stored and recorded in the World Tracer System within four hours after flight arrival.
- Communicate with departments such as Customer Affairs and dnata Airport Services to resolve passenger concerns promptly.
- Monitor baggage tracing performance and report service issues or delays to the Baggage Services Manager.
- Authorize relief payments and manage petty cash for operational needs.
- Conduct staff appraisals and create individual Development Plans for skill enhancement.
- Implement corrective actions for service improvement and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in Airport Operations or a similar aviation-related role.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure environments.
- Proficiency in managing staff schedules, performance evaluations, and workflow efficiency.
- Knowledge of airline safety regulations and passenger handling procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- EKAS Leadership Foundation Certificate (for existing Emirates staff).
- Possession of a valid Aerobridge License for those involved in gate operations.
- Supervisory experience in a customer service-oriented role, preferably with a major international airline.
